A different kind of education

UTC stands for ‘University Technical College’. These are new government-funded colleges, with a variety of high profile industry partners and sponsor institutions.

Combining traditional GCSEs and A levels with two relevant technical specialisms, UTCs teach 14-18year olds scientific and technical subjects in a whole new way that gets them ready for the world of work.

Opening in September 2017 in a new building designed specifically for students studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects , the focus is on Transport Engineering, and Construction Development and Management.
