On Friday 17th November six of our best embarked upon a visit to Magdalen College, Oxford. Our intrepid explorers departed London via Coach at 07:30 in the morning.
Upon arrival at Magdalen College, our Year 12 students posed for the obligatory photograph in the Colleges’ cobblestone courtyard.
They then met with Maryem, Community Outreach Officer who guided them to the lecture theatre to give them the low down on life at Oxford University, the application process and a brief Q & A session.
Their 3rd year student guide, Izzy – Biomedical Sciences gave our students a guided tour of Magdalen College before taking the students to the Grand Hall for lunch.
After lunch Maryem took the students to the Bodleian (Grand Library) to take in the magnificent building and history before waking them to the Engineering Departmebt to attend a lecture and participant in mock interviews.
The day was capped off with the students capturing their memories via a series of photographs before returning to London via coach.
