Summer is here!

Dear all,
Happy summer time to all students, staff and parents of the UTC!
It has been a fantastic summer term with so many developments and highlights – we would like to thank all parents, students and staff for their support.

Exam Conditions!

This week saw the beginning of our first ever, end of year mock examinations. The year 12s and 10s engaged in exams under real test conditions. This was to prepare and make them aware of what real exams will require from them next year.

At the UTC we believe such practice is essential to our student’s academic growth and will best prepare them for what is to come next year. WELL DONE YEAR 10 AND YEAR 12!

 Staff News

We are sad to bid farewell to Miss McLoughlin and thank her wholeheartedly for all her hard work in Physics and as Head of Year 10 this year. We are also sad to lose Mr Ufele, who leaves us for a sports scholarship in the USA!

We welcome Miss Elwahabi and Miss Toppin to the roles of Head of Year 10 and 11 respectively.

Year 12’s go on work experience

Year 12’s have recently had a taste of the real world, when they completed a week of real work experience!

Work experience is something employers look out for in any candidate they are considering taking a young person in to their workforce.

Work experience enables the development of key skills such as team work, communication and problem solving. At the UTC we congratulate all our year 12 students for powering through what the recent weeks have thrown at them! Year 10 will be doing the same this week and next at Transport for London!
