Alstom

Who are Alstom and what do we do?

We are a global company fully focussed on transport; delivering high speed and urban trains, signalling systems, maintenance and training, committed to sustainability. We are setting up a new training academy for apprentices in Liverpool in 2017.

How Alstom will help students at the UTC

Alstom’s Engineering Graduates will support the UTC’s teachers as well as the students. By partnering with Network Rail on a Double Decker train project, Alstom will share leadership of an innovative team-based sixth form research assignment. UTC students can also apply for work experience at Alstom in its core maintenance teams or in its training division. Alstom will provide Employability Skills support sessions to UTC students (working with them to create CV’s and providing interview preparation training). We will also arrange’ World of Work’ days where students can visit working maintenance depots, construction sites etc.
