The Joint Head Teachers

Mike Finn, MA
Mike is an experienced leader of Sixth Form and post-16 education, having worked at two of the most successful providers in the UK. Mike holds an MA in Education Leadership. Over seven years, Mike progressed from newly qualified teacher, to Director of Faculty managing a faculty of 900 students. After twelve successful years as a highly performing Teacher with four of these as a transformative Deputy/ Assistant Principal, he is ready for the challenge of joint Headship.
Antonia Evans, MA
Antonia is an experienced leader of secondary education, having worked at three successful secondary schools and more recently in her last post prior to joining the UTC, specialising 14 – 18 (Key stage 4 and 5) education. Antonia holds an MA in Education Leadership and is a graduate of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. Antonia’s first degree is in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, and she is currently completing a post-graduate course in Special Educational Needs Coordination at the Institute of Education.

Leigh Baxandall, PhD
Curriculum and Teaching Consultant
Leigh has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge, and he has worked in secondary education for the last decade. After training at the Institute of Education, Leigh has worked as a Teacher of Mathematics at St Marylebone School and held  a variety of roles including STEM director, and Oxbridge and Level 3 Maths Coordinator.
Marcin Radziul, MSEng, PGCE
Teacher of Mathematics, QTS
Marcin has experience in Curriculum Development and as a Subject Lead for KS5 IB. He recently worked in AP across all Key Stages. He has many years of experience in Product, MarComm and Training roles in the Engineering and Energy sectors incl. at Management level. Marcin holds a Masters degree in Engineering Management and Marketing and a few other Postgraduate diplomas.
Hanan Elwahabi
Teacher of Computing / ICT
Degree in English Set up and an IT company for 7 years with a partner 4 years experience working in 4 very different schools Experience as a private Maths and English tutor BCS scholar and teacher of Computer Science I became a teacher to help shape the future generation, one child at a time.
Jane Evans, PhD
Teacher of Georgraphy, QTS
Jane teaches Geography. She has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology from University of Nottingham an M.Sc. in Palynology (University of Sheffield) and a Ph.D in Palynology/ Micropalaeontology (University of Leicester). Jane qualified as teacher via a PGCE  from the University of Nottingham.
Clare McLoughlin

Nathan Mealor, PGCE, BSc
Teacher of Chemistry
Nathan is an experienced head of chemistry and a passionate advocate of the use of ICT to enhance learning.

Support team

Dennis G. Lucan, BA
Marketing and Engagement Coordinator
Social entrepreneur and founder of DGL Group with a First Class BA in Business Management Entrepreneurship. He is a finalist of national and international business competitions and interned at the Mayor of London's Office developing the Mayor's Entrepreneur 2017 business competition.
Ella Trevelyan, BSc
College Administrator
BSc Hons degree in Sport and Physical Education Degree. Experience as a Teaching Assistant working in an Independent School. Experience coaching athletics, football, netball, hockey, tag rugby and trampolining at primary school and university level. Sales executive experience in House of Fraser.
Mubarak Ogunbadejo, BSc
Science Technician
Completed his BSc Hons degree in Sports Biomedicine and Biomedical Science from Middlesex University. Experience working as a Science Technician both at secondary and college level assisting teachers and students with practical aspects of science. Looking forward to meeting the staff and students as well as excited to continue his career progression at Westminster UTC.
Carol Savill-Smith, PhD
Personal Assistant to the College Executive, QTS
Carol has worked in education for the past 20 years in learning, teaching and research. She is passionate about the effective use of technology for learning, particularly mobile learning and computer games, and is looking forward to now working with the College Executive of this brand new University Technical College.
