This is an exciting time to be joining us as a teacher, as you will shape the development of chemistry in a brand new and unique University Technical College.
The Sir Simon Milton UTC Westminster will open in September 2017 in the heart of London’s West End. It will be a flagship for technical skills education offering 550 young people between 14 and 19, the opportunity to join a new generation of engineers, designers, technicians and project managers to build Britain’s infrastructure. It will be the only central London UTC and its catchment spans the M25.

We are seeking to appoint highly qualified, innovative and inspirational teachers, who are passionate about their subject and who are committed to raising aspirations, and securing sustained progress for all of our students. The post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an NQT. Those who require training and who are willing to study for a recognised teaching qualification alongside their teaching practice are also welcome to apply, and will be paid on a separate pay scale.
As we are a new College, there may be opportunities for the right candidate to take on some additional leadership responsibility either now, or in the future as we expand and build our middle leadership team.

Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College opens in September 2017 and will be the first UTC in the central London area. With a focus on construction and engineering it will provide an outstanding education for 14-19 year olds, encompassing real, relevant workplace experience in partnership with world-class companies, alongside conventional GCSE and A’Level courses.

The College seeks to appoint a Business Manager (Bursar) who is enthusiastic, hardworking and highly skilled. They will play a crucial role within our Senior Leadership Team, providing vision and operational delivery to the Principal and Vice- Principal as they develop, launch and expand our brand new College.
The post covers responsibility for the majority of non-teaching requirements of the College including finance and budget management, HR, premises, ICT, catering services & contracts, extended school services, grants as well as health and safety.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will be appropriately qualified and/or experienced and it is desirable that applicants will hold CSBM or an equivalent recognised business or accountancy qualification and be able to demonstrate their ability to manage all the non-teaching aspects of the College described above. You will be an effective and influential communicator with significant experience at a senior strategic level in school, College or commercial organisation. You should have a dynamic and energetic approach and be enthusiastic about participating in all aspects of the operation of the College.
